i know that most if not all of the type-r exhaust pieces will fit on my car because of the same cat length etc.. because i have a T1R exhaust for a type r on my car now

my question is would a header made for a 97+ ITR fit on my 94 b18b RS? or would i have to get one made for all years of type r's? does the OBD-I and OBD-II make a difference?

I tried a 00 ITR manifold on my 00 LS, everything lined up (cat, mounting points etc), even the two studs on the exhaust ports on the head, but when i tried to thread in the bolts to bolt down the rest of the ports, they were about a quarter of an inch off, just enough for them not to fit. people have said otherwise that it should fit and all, but most of those people who have told me were just internet junkies, no firsthand experience.
