Approximately 100k on this longblock/transmission combination. Includes block, head, transmission, clutch, flywheel, all sensors... still in the car running.

Minor problems include a leaky water pump, an odd noise in transmission sometimes on deceleration, and slight knock.

man....i was looking for a good sohc vtec tranny too...and i can pick up. any idea what the noise is?

 

It sounds like it could be a clutch/flywheel issue only, but I couldn't guarantee it... sounds like a friction/rubbing sound sometimes on deacceleration...

i need this motor but i need to know more about the knock noise

 

I drive a Lexus so the cars motor just sounds to be "knocking" louder than I am used to. The motor does not smoke or anything, but the lower rotating assembly sounds a bit louder than average. It may just need an oil change or something. The longblocks perfect for anyone looking to do a D-Series build up. Like I said, it runs and drives fine... but I would look into doing a mild rebuild soon. The motor does not smoke.
