Fireworks is a graphics creation/manipulation tool by Macromedia. It has some features of Photoshop, and some of Illustrator. Its main purpose is for working on graphics for websites (I'm a web app developer).
The pic was drawn based on a Honda Japan picture, and I basically trace it manually in order to get smoother shapes, remove licence plate, and I can re-color the car fairly easily.

they have free tuturials that are good
i didnt know you could do that type of stuff with fireworks. i have seen stuff like that in freehand though
