new clutch - break in period

Default new clutch - break in period

i jus got a new clutch, exedy organic. ive read about a 500 mile break in period. does anyone know what this means exactly?

strictly city driving?
freeway ok, but have to shift softly?
constant gear shifting?

anyone know? thanks

Low RPM shifting. Freeways should be ok. It isnt really how many miles you drive, but how many times you engage/disengage it. So 500 miles on the freeway probably wont be as good as the same 500 in stop and go conditions. And keep in mind, you arent going to kill you clutch if you get on it, so you dont need to drive like a woman at all times. Just try to drive reasonably for the first tank or two.
