My Spring Break(56k might get STALOWNED)
First cpl of days I was car-less, so I sanded and prepped my 280z for painting.
Before sanding(the water gives the paint allot of credit, I'm sure I spun out on this picture.)

After Sanding.

Somewhere In those days I found time to help a friend install eibach springs and adjustable shocks on his mr2 turdblow.

Before I painted my car, I felt it would be best to practice on my friends 250$ 85 300zx. Being young and stupid, we decided 25$ for a filter breather was to much to save our lungs from deadly poison... so we opted for a hose.

Only real pic we got of it while being painted

Result.... uber dark pictures...

After painting that fine beast, I realize that a hose isnt going to work... and after a night of aching lungs I pick up a air filter for the next paint job. I primer the beast, and sand it down for color/clear.

Results after final painting

The 300zx whorebag repays me by modeling on the sweet ride

Overall I got what I put into the paintjob. Which is about 70$ and time I would of spent just sitting around. I wish I would have put more into the bodywork and gotten a couple more coats of white on. It was a pretty successful spring break, and was pretty fun.
Now here are some random pictures.
The 300zx friend's other car, 240sx equiped with coilovers, HT homedepot lip, and a kirk(i think) racing 4 point cage just arrived today. IT HAS A SWEET *** COWL HOOD MADE WITH WASHERS AND A WALMART BATTERY RELOCATION KIT, NOT TO MENTION A KILLER PVC PIPE INTAKE
BigMacHomeSlice: fixed"

Hah, no.... just a really crappy siphon fed gun.... I only did one layer of white... so the ends result was a primer stripeish urban camo. I plan to go back and do it again, and sand off the textured dust that got onto the paint and do more coats of white.

You should have finished it the first go around. It prob. took you 10 mins to spray that car, and at least the whole day to prep and mask of the car. You can wetsand it and it will get a dull shiny finish. I would def. get some clear and spray it , you will get some runs your first time doing it but it will still actually SHINE. Get some ***** and spray some clear!
props for doing it yourself

Yes because this whole jdm pose thing is so ******* gay and it pisses me off when I see it because.. it's not funny and it's extremely homosexual.
Nice "paintjob" though my friend should be doing this to his own datsun in his garage.. Lovin that 240 too!

Thanks for the comments, I dont think the monkey pose was designed to show manliness in anyway, its supposed to be goofy and is better that just standing up straight shooting the peace sign with my sideways baseball cap. I plan to paint it again, but its an improvement from what it was before. It was my first time painting and I was borrowing a friends garage and did not feel like whoring it for a week so yes, I rushed the paintjob.
Sweet Z! My first car back in 1990 was a 77 280z with a 350 chevy swap. It took me and my father 18 months to build the car from the ground up. I painted it porsche canary yellow with a slight silver pearl coat added in the clear. The first day I had it on the road I was rear-ended by a cop and my z was totalled. I've been looking for another one recently but almost all af them I have seen had frame rot. PM me if you want to see pics.
