Comptech Sway and Tie bar kit
Does anyone know if this setup is any good? I have a friend w/ a Si and this setup and he said it kicks ***, and the sway bar is thick as hell, but in conjunction w/ the tie bar it won't rip out the mounts and crap. What i'm wantin to know is how does this setup compare to a ITR sway bar.
Never driven an integra that's had the ITR sway bar and tie bar installed on it, but I have driven a 94 LS with the comptech sway bar/tie bar combo unit installed, and it handled sooooo goooood. That is high on my list of things to buy. I haven't heard anything bad about it yet. What's the best price you've seen them at? and where?

I am looking into the same thing. If I don't get a used Progress Group sway bar I will most likely get the Comptech Kit. Either way the Comptech kit looks great. I can't imagine it ripping out with the tie bar installed. I have heard that increasing the support with the tie bar helps considerably. Apparently the ITR has a stronger frame in that area so the Comptech kit helps to create more nuetral handeling.
you may also want to look into the Suspension Techniques rear sway bar w/tie bar
fitment and hardware are top notch.
although the new Comptech sway bar is adjustable.

The stock bar on the regular integras is only 14mm, the comptech is 22mm, and comes with a complete tiebar/mount brace that eliminates tearout problems others have had with the ITR bar conversion. Night and day handling improvement. https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=81037

What, you're selling them?
Are you selling them personally, or........?
So the comptech sway & Tie bra kit comes with exactly what?
just 1 sway bar and 1 tie bar kit for the rear?

I love my comptech sway/tie kit.. the way it works calavera the tie bar bolts into the lower control mounts, and also the stock sway bar mounts.. Then the sway bar bushings bolt onto to the tie bar. Its a pretty slick deal, and handles like a champ!
I own Diablo Autosports, and I will sell them as sort of a group buy or honda-tech special. Best I can do with comptech's new pricing. If you look at the post linked above it describes the deal. Here's a pic, and here's what it includes: http://www.diabloautosports.com/prod...oducts_id=1349
ST has a setup thats just like comptech for about $100 less. comes with 22mm sway and adjustable endlinks as well as an adjustable tie bar. They make them for the Integra from what I saw in the catalog.
that is not "just like the comptech" the comptech has one piece billet brace and is much stronger, and the comptech swaybay has 3 position adjustable Heimjoint (probably spelled wrong) endlinks. The only comparison is the sizeof 22mm. Worth every penny of the $100 difference above the ST piece.
I'm gonna have to agree with Diablo Autosports on this one... The comptech bar is definatly of superior quality. You get what you pay for, and why risk wasting over $250 just to see if it works?
Okay, I'm leaning more towards the comptech now.... But what's an alternative out there thats as good as comptech?
I heard Bennen makes some sick sway bars.

What's wrong with OEM ITR bar with BSQ or Beak's kit?
$150...
That's where I was heading, unless someone can convince me otherwise.
Daily driver, occasional auto-X just for fun.

I think the comptech piece is overkill, and overpriced, but that is just my $.02
if you do have the loot and want to be oh-so-secure, then hells yeah get the Comptech or ST, they both look capable of doing their job.

i too had my heart set on a comptech sway+tie bar kit (i was sold on the assurance of no subframe ripping, the cool tie bar with comptech engraved in it, and good reviews) for $300 shipped (classified ad).. However i recieved a Civic sway+tie bar kit instead, and by then i had already changed my mind. Comptechs kit is overkill considering the rattlilng noises and other issues to keep in mind. I'm going for the Type-R 22m sway with Beaks or BSQ kit (a whole discussion in itself). Why pay $400 for something you can get for $100? well you wont have a shiny tie bar but if you're concerned about looks then maybe you should focus on other parts of the car first. just my $.02
