ok i have a first gen b16 cable tranny on first gen b16, and when i got the car the gearing seemed to be fine, but now when im going 70mph in 5th gear im idleing at 4000 rpm, it used to be under 3500, and it seems that it is taking away power, can anyone tell me what it is and if it is takin power away?

 

your gear in 5th and before it was at 3500 rpms...... now it is raised to 4000?.... never heard of such a thing..... good luck though.

 

its been about a year since i had my car and now it raised to 4k in 5th going 70, its also very annoying
