Default How difficult is it to steal rims protected with wheel locks?

I just bought some muteki lug nuts, which come with a key, but i'm thinking it's not enough. Should i also buy a set of 4 Mcgard lock nuts for each wheel?

Wheel locks are easy to get around...but many ppl dont want to mess with a car w/wheel locks cause its more difficult and more time

well this is what i found online:

" If you really think you're protecting your wheels with locks - you're probably only doing so from the high school kid that has never stolen anything before... the pros (and thelegitimate tire shops) use a nice tool that looks like a socket that is
tapered inside with teeth like a saw that you put over the lug nut, whack
with a hammer and then un-screw in a jiffy - takes about 3 seconds longer
than a regular lug nut. "

That reminds me when I lost my key to the wheel locks. Took it to my mechanic and he used those special sockets, hammered them thigt, and lock came out like nothing. I was like, WTF. Mechanic started laughing.

If no you haven't seen one take a trip to your local tire shop. You can also buy yourself one if you wanted to. A socket that doesn't exactly fit can be pounded on and the same thing accomplished.

But what happens when you have locks on all 16 wheel studs? Hammering on a sockets for all the lugs would take a while, right?

it wont take that long if you have 3 or 4 people. Thieves dont usually work solo.
