91 lx with 195k and on 2nd blown head gasket.
Hey ya'll I would love it if you could give up some advice or direction my way. I am thinking about putting another engine in my car and I wanted to know what my options were. everything is stock inc 5 speed xmsn. Which way do I go, inexpensively? Thanks to those who reply.

Find a well taken care of H23 longblock. That engine is good for 35 hp more than the F22 engine that came in your car.

def go with a h23 longblock... very inexpensive and good hp gains, not to mention torque gains... and then later on in life if you REALLY wanted more power and had the money....TURBO! YAY!
