Well I'm putting the work car up for sale
.
Engine- 192,000mi. D16A6. The engine runs EXTREMELY strong. I took the car to the track ONCE just to goof around to see what it would run and it pulled a 15.5@85mph
. Keep in mind this is a BONE stock work car/beater that I use in place of the R.
Cons: It burns some oil under load, but has done it since I've owned it, hasn't given me a problem yet and I drive 120mi to work and back every day. Just keep a check on it every few days and you are good to go.
Transmission: Shifts great when dead cold. After long trips it will develop a scratch in 2nd gear, but nothing major, still engages fine, and the car still shifts at redline at full throttle with no difficulities at all. Probably could use a transmission fluid change. This has been with the car since I've owned it as well and hasn't been a problem yet.
Body: No dents and no rust.
Interior: Driver seat is torn, passenger and back seat are in great shape. The carpet, ceiling, and rear of the car have been stripped, but front door panels and dash are still in place.
Other: The sunroof was broke and cracked when I got it so I pot riveted some sheet metal in place with sealant. Weight savings yo!
Car doesn't have a muffler and mid pipe has a crack so its sort of loud, but like I said I drive 120mi today just for work and it doesn't bother me. Speakers are shot as well, but radio does work (just sounds like crap).
AC might work but I have never charged it, heater works great.

I live about 1hr north of Mobile. I could sure meet you somewhere like Montgomery if that's ok.

Yeah thats what we all said. I went to the track to meet some friends and just decided to run the car for some laughs. After I pulled about five 15 second passes back to back plenty of people had the "WTF?" look including me. Maybe some of my ITR's msy paint flaked off onto the hatch.
