5th gens have a higher offset wheel, which implies that the mounting surfaces of the wheels are farther apart.

I wouls still say it wouldn't work. I have 5th gen spindles on my 4th gen, but with 4th gen alxes and half-shaft. I tried to use 5th gen alxes on my old 5th gen Accord and they would bined up if you tried to turn them cause they were to long.
when did you get a 4th gen
i'm not sure on the length, but we know that 5th gen hubs
will work with 4th gen axles and vise versa from the 5 lug conversion
on the 4th gens.
edit: just checked hondaautomotiveparts.com and they are different part #s
and look to be different lengths

ive had a 4th gen for like a year now, engine went ka-blooey late last summer, been sittin ever since, now i have something new for it
there isnt exactly an engine in the 4th gen right now, i am in the process of stripping the chassis in order to give a new splash of color..... i mean, white is nice and all, but its just too plain for what the end result will be
