d16a6 .. What pistons to use or other setup to help bring compression up
So if you look in my sig, you'll see what I have done, basically head work. The .040 mill and y8 headgasket give me a total of .051 off stock. Using the compression calculator to the best of my ability I get a ratio of 10.1:1. I want to bring it up to 11.1:1 if possible. I'm using stock pistons now. What other pistons could I use to get to around 11.1:1? Only ones on the calculator that bump up compression would be the a1 or zc pistons and that'd make like 13:1 and I sure as heck don't want that for my daily driver.
I haven't completely decided if I really wanna do this or not, but I'm just trying to squeeze a few extra n/a horsies outa my engine without going all out.
How much of a hp boost does changing compression usually give anyway?
Ok, bundle of questions, any help is appreciated as usual! Thanks

youll probably have to go aftermarket. i cant find a combo of oem pistons that will give you around 11.1:1.
i didnt check the GX (PDN or PMS) pistons since im not sure of the specs...also they have nonexistant valve reliefs so who knows if they would work with the 272 cam.
the closest is:
d16 block, P29 pistons, A6 HG, milled 0.040" = 11.98:1
the same setup with a 0.075" crushed thickness HG yields about 11.1:1. i know mr. gasket has that stackable HG with up to a 1mm thick spacer. youll have to look at that gasket if you want to stay away from aftermarket pistons.
