Default brake locked up on me

I had to do a front knuckles swap on my CRX HF, after the swap was complete, the brake on the passenger side locked up firmly while the driverside is normal. I have bled both side correctly (i think), what is causing this and how can i fix it? thanks.

The caliper is probably dragging, did you rebuild them or just slap them on. I would rec. rebuilding them since they were used right?

This isn't overly uncommon if they've been sitting for a long time. I did the EX upgrade and both of the calipers were frozen up from sitting for so long.

Just buy a rebuilt IMO. You might get that one to free up, but it will freeze again (unless you rebuild it or replace it).

i would check the caliper and see if the piston will push in easily. if not definately replace it.

something similar also happened to me ...

i swaped EX knuckles/brakes and MC over last winter and i used the junkyard EX calpiers. I got about 6 months out of them then one day the drivers side stuck when i was going down the highway. just the one side was sticking enough to get really hot and smell like it was burning.

so i took the caliper off and worked the piston back and forth and it worked fine. then the next week the passenger side stuck in the same fashion, not locked up but close.

so i replaced both front calipers and bled everything and one side still runs hotter than the other. they hadent stuck as they did before (since i put the car away for the winter) but somethings still not right. im thinking the MC might be bad also.

thank you everybody who had replied so far.
The problem is the new knuckles have not been sitting there for awhile. I had a little incident with my last crx in which the hood and windshield was ruined, so i went and got a better crx. I had to swap everything over, including the b18, exhaust and such. I wanted to swap the knuckle b/c I had upgraded brake rotor. After doing so, when the car is jacked up, the driverside wheel spins freely while the passenger side locked up hard. I havenn't got a chance to take a closer look, so what should I look for?

Usually you can't see anything. On my 92 Civic, I started to notice a pull. It got worse and worse until I noticed the car would stop itself at redlights (once I was going really slot it would just stop). I jacked it up and the rear wheel was hung up. I changed the caliper. About 3-4 months later I noticed another pull when I was at speed. It eventually got worse. Jack the car up, front right caliper is bad. About 2 weeks after that, I notice the same thing, and eventually it locked totally up causing smoke to pour out from the front left side. I replaced that caliper. About a month or two ago, this is all long after the first three failed, the left rear hung up... replaced it as well. They've all been fine since.

None of mine had been sitting and they all randomly went bad. I'm guessing the previous owner used some crap fluid or never had it changed or something. They don't have to sit to lock up, sometimes it just happens... they wear out just like anything. I was just making a guess on why yours hung. As long as the lines are good (no bends, kinks, tears, etc) and the m/c is working (indicated by the fact that only one brake is failing) you should be fine by just replacing it.
