Default d16y7 engine with vtec ecu ?

i have a d16y7 engine and wanted to just trade out the ecu with a b-series ecu obd2 wondering if i would give me a little power while i get my vtec head .would the ecu give me power ?

It would not give you any increase, it would screw things up more than anything. A b-series ecu will be looking for a knock sensor, a different IACV and I believe also a different CFK. Not to mention that it will have no connections to the Vtec selenoid whatsoever. I believe the only upgrade you can do to a Y7 as far as ecu goes (OBD2), would be to get an LS ecu, and even then I highly doubt it would do a tihng.
