Default H22A In Civic Opinion

I want to Swap the H22 into my Civic Only thing is I hear this Swap is not good because for the bad oversteer that you get due to the engine being so heavy. I am looking for some input for people who have this swap or has experience with it. Not those who go off of what someone else says.

With the correct susp mods, you`ll handle decent. I wouldn`t take it to an open track event or autoX though.

it's an additional 180 pounds or so from a b series engine. So make up for the weight and it should do alright. I would suggest moving battery to back of car and of course lightening the front with carbon hood etc. You can make it handle pretty good but not as good as a b-series considering with b-series the front & rear weight ratios will be better and provide you with a bette balanced car.

I don't know too much about the oversteer, but a recent issue of sport compact(i believe it was this one) had a huge article about swapping these engines!!
All I know is that would be sweet as hell!!! I would love to have a lude engine in my civic!!

at the drag strip last week, this guy had an accord coupe with a h22......supercharged!!! hello

sorry....hope i didn't "go off on what someone else says" ?????????

I have a buddy that has a H23 (160 HP and 160 lbs. of torque) in his hatch. That car is damn fast. He runs consistant 8.40's in the 1/8 and has got a 13.8 in the 1/4. The motor is bone stock and all he has is I/H/E on it and they are nothing special. The only thing I can get a brand name off of is his header and it is a DC Sports. There is another guy that has a H22 in his hatch and he runs 8.1 in the 1/8 and he has every external bolt on you can think of.

Actually, it's only 120lbs heavier than a D15, therefore I'd say what, 70-80lbs heavier than a B-series motor? Know a guy here in Miami who just had an H22 dropped in his hatch, works like a charm.
