has anybody installed the Weapon R header? just wonder how the fit was and also if any noticeable power gains were noticed.

Not to flame, but Im guessing you loose 5hp. The Stock H22 Header is actually really well designed and Wepon R is not known for their quality parts.

im guessing he said this because based on other header that companies like dc (not mugen, smsp, etc) make, we might not gain or actually lose hp...

That header was good cause it was a alomost exact copy of i think the comptech or i believe hytech header.

To the best of my knowledge every 4-2-1 DC header made for a Honda or Acura after 1988 uses 1-5/8" primaries and 1-3/4" secondaries. No mater if it's a 1.5, 1.6, 1.8, 2.0, 2.2 or 2.3L engine.

As did most people, but it seems like they are stepping it up a notch. They have really nice products out now like their intake heatshield thingy. That things pretty, along with thier 800 dollar header that really does perform.

Well it begins one day with a about 10 japanese guys in white lab coats..
They stand around an H22 motor and talking japanese to each other..
Asking questions like "what is this thing?, what are we suppost to do with this?"
Then this japanese guy with really thick glasses Says "I know, lets make a rusty looking header! and call it a day."
Then all of them look at each other and being laugh obnoxiously (you know one of those anime cartoon laughs).
Then they send off their "newly" design to the Manfactures to make. and.. viola
A new Baby header is born better than the rest.

The end

your right the weapon r was a copy of hytech, their b version at least for sure i know.. this is also why they recently discoutinued it and you can find it going pretty cheap for those who stocked it..

hytech has a patent on their header and will sue those who continue to sell

i hope the h header is their own design ... get us pictures when you get it!

Why would anyone even consider Weapon R products? Unless I guess if you were sponsered by them.

To tell you the truth, I've sold Weapon R since they opened up. Leo was their president at the time. I remember the intake air filter element used to get brittle and get sucked into the throttle body over time. They never warrantied the filters saying that it was wear and tear. As the intake design progressed, the filter element never changed. I'm guessing it was attractive and cheap to produce.

That was the beginning of their tendency to copy leading products.. ie. HKS Mega Flow.

Just think of it this way, it doesn't take a lab to produce headers for a vehicle, all it takes is someone with some welding experience and a nice madrel pipe bender.

Products like these have never been designed with a dyno. They've been made and THEN tested to show something on their advertisements.

Compare products from manufacturers with a good reputation. They're always competing with eachother. That gives us, the consumers, the advantage.

Weapon R... where the R stands for wRong! Ummm yeah... it's pretty much copied ****. I'd rather put a "for sale" sign on my lude before I rock anything Weapon R. That's my opinion... do what you like.

haha that happened to one of our cars a bit back.. we went with some cheap filter, never knowing..

all of a sudden one day, i got on the car and we were like.. hmm? why does it sound like i am spooling? insta-boost...

then you left off and got a little pussst. sound, it was funny, took off the Intake and well rest assure, that part was right there on the TB, when you got on the car, it would suck it up and give you that sound.. when i got off it, it feel, was funny but scary all together

everybody has there opinion, copied or not this header is 10x's better than the POS DC SPorts crap I had, I just installed the header and im very happy with it, there is noticeable gains from 3400rpm up, VTEC comes in stronger and hits harder. I Have pictures but don't know how to post them, email Sniper449@aol.com for pics. I ended up buying 2 headers buy mistake the guy messed up on my order, he gave me a price break also so if anybody wants a SS header let me know its $275 this is a TRUE WEAPON R header not some geric crap like off ebay that there selling...A true Weapon R will cost you $300 for a prelude up, and that came out of Weapon R direct, he said there is lots of fake weapon r headers out in the market, also there prices are going up soon due to supposively losing money..yeah right....but the increase I believe...Anybody interested email me Sniper449@aol.com

I will try to get you a collector size tomorrow....The dyno results I don't have, never put my car on a dyno, also never seen any posted online, these are rather new headers and not too many people have them yet.

actually that is true, cause they made xxx amount of them, then were told they were being sued for copying a patent'ed item.. so they are stuck with xxx of their headers.. and need to sell them.. so they are losing money on them , cause they are all made and cant be sold much longer..

anyways.. if it makes power, good!

post pictures, its super easy, if you cant email them to me: sales@kteller.com,

i ll post them

its a 2.5 inch collector. They tested it vs. a bunch of other headers and it made good power. I will try to find the thread.
