Definetely did a search, but I want to know the "REAL" reasons.
I'm gonna do a rebuild in the near future on my '94 GSR. 150k!!!! Runs good, but I just want piece of mind. Not going ALL out. Only going OEM. So the question is on pr3 pistons in my GSR. I heard it is not worth the money. And I heard that the it wont seat right???? It definetely yeilds higer CR, but what about in the long run? I'm getting a gasket set for the whole motor, bearings, head studs, valve guides, etc. I was going for ITR but I could save ALOT by going for some good used pr3's
P.S
Not looking for ITR's unless they are under a bill.
Need real valid answers.
THANKS!!!!!!!!!!

B16 and B18 pistons are all the same bore size. You get the pistons and the oem rings and it will seal
There is a calculator on Cspeed racing that will tell you what your compression ratio will be with your configuration. GSR = 10:1 soo put the piston you want in the calculator and what head and block your using and it will tell you your new compression ratio

I make perfect sense. Please read. I said I'm on a strict budget. A rebuild is gonna happen sooner or later. Which is better used? GSR pistons of over 150k or pr3 pistons under 40k? Its just like people buying a used DC header or used ITR Cams/valvetrain.
