88 crx Si with ZC 1.6l DOHC motor swap - wiring harness questions
Hey guys im about to pruchase an 88 honda crx si with a 1.6l dohc 135hp zc engine, but the car is currently not running, he says that when he did the swap he tried to connect an old wiring harness with a new one but it didnt work. He suggests a new wiring harness from a junkyard or something. First> are these harnesses expensive? Are they hard to install? Will a stock harness work for the zc engine? Are there any how-to sites or posts? Any help would be appreciated. I think this car has good potential and for $600cdn its not a bad deal either. Thanks for any help you guys mite have.
assuming the interior harness wasnt changed, you should be able to go tot he junk yard and buy a engine harness from a 88-89 civic si and it should all work

only the 88 Si will plug right in at the firewall - 89-91 had a different connector due to having more wires for the Fast Idle Control Valve - you could use any 88-91 Si if you swapped connectors
