What is described as a "quiet" exhaust?

if you're after sound, just get less restrictive muffler, just make sure its oval and not round for deeper sound.

you shouldn't have performance concerns until your exhaust is really choking the hp potential of your setup. either way, my setup is custom 2.5" SS mandrel bent with straight through resonator and muffler - deep, loud eoungh that you may have trouble riding with windows down.

I think the Fujitsubo PowerGetter is even quieter than the RM01. Atleast from the video I heard.

Ryan, who rocks the stock exhaust.

The stock exhaust would be the best, and actually flows decently compared to some aftermarket ones. If you want something quiet around town and sounds good into the higher rpm's, my vote would be the Mugen twinloop, which i have.

I like the sound of RM-01A better than the Power Getter, but both sound really nice!

true that. I got pulled over one time after taking off from a toll plaza, cop thought he heard my exhaust when in fact all he heard was m4d Vt4cK! coming from the motor. He got down on the ground under the car because he didnt believe me that the exhaust was stock. Turned out to be the coolest cop ever though

I wouldn't call it quiet.

I was told it was quiet when I was buying it, and for a while I believed it, but its loud in the cabin. Maybe not outside the car, but there is a loud exhaust drone in the car around the driver's head at all times.

Put it this way - my ears were RINGING when I got home from my 660 miles drive from Chattan00ga. Ringing like I was at a rock concert. Yes, that was from the stereo and exhaust, but mostly the exhaust.

Mugen Twinloop is super quiet, most other exhausts are not.

There is a difference between loud outside the car and loud inside the car. I'd rather have an exhaust that was quiet inside and outside the car, but that combination is rare.

could you shed some light on this?
how does an oval exhaust create a deeper sound than a round one?

If I don't have to wear ear plugs it's too quiet

Anton - who drove the first two years with a stock exhaust and was totally satisfied, the power difference with the big loud fartcan is not obvious, the noise is.

i had a spoon N1 with spoon B pipe on my ITR but even with the tail pipe silencer it was doing my head in so i changed it to a Fujitsubo LegalisR and its a very nice sounding exhaust, very very low deep tone and not at all loud or boomy, i've heard it described as a 'very grown up' type noise, have never even had a cop look twice at me when passing one. plus it looks very nice and pretty stock too except for the slightly enlarged tail pipe!

RM01A is the way to go. Great sound and performance. Great quality and looks good. I would have to say Fujitsubo is the way to go. I have it and it is the best sounding exhaust I have ever heard.
