it would def sound good, too much for me, course im going to be buying a 1000 dollar header soon, but thats niether here nor there, power? ya mugen is more focused on midrange power as opposed to other brands i.e. apexi who is more into top end , which is crazy might i add, i love my n1 but mugen is def good

I've got a '98 SH with the Type-S intake with a drop-in K&N filter, Mugen Header, and Mugen Cat-back Exhaust. Stock cat, BTW.

It sounds fantastic! It IS louder than stock, but it is not annoying!

The power gains are pretty good too! I've never had mine on a dyno, but I could tell a difference.

So that justifies it?

I mean, im not doubting mugen's ability to make awesome power with their products, but paying that kinda money to just help move air in and out of the car seems a little rediculous to me. Now if i were offered a used mugen header and/or exhaust for a reasonable price, **** yeah, id take it . But i dont think i'd ever buy those products new, i just cant justify the price.

Now I agree that Mugen is far overpriced, but ****, isn't everything we stand for also overpriced? I mean, we spend thousands upon thousands of dollars so we can make our car less reliable. I'm just saying, take a step back and realize that yes 900 for a header is overpriced, but **** so is 250, IMO

That may change pretty soon!

Clayton (screen name: Ausmith) from King Motorsports is trying to organize dyno days in Chicago and Milwaukee. I'm in!

It came with 195 HP when I bought it. I would love to have it at 220 HP! I feel our cars should be putting out 100 HP per liter. I know I don't have that much now, but it's sure nice to dream! Hmmm... maybe if I got the Type-S cams and pistons?!?!

BTW, I'm NOT talking about 220 HP at the wheel! We can guess/estimate how much horsepower there is at the crank from the WHP numbers.
