Viper 790XV 2 way communication
Wassup i got a viper 790 and i've had it for about a month, now whenever i unlock, lock, or use the panic feature on the remote, the car reponds by unlocking, locking, or whatever, but the remote gives off that beeping signal with the flashing antenna symbol(that usually happens when you are too far away from the car), so the remote is transmitting a signal and the car is reponding but the remote doesn't respond bak, like if the alarm is sounding the remote does nothing, or if i unlock the car the remote still shows the lock symbol eventhough the car is unlock. what should i do.
P.s. the notification is turned on, on the remote. Thz

your remote needs to be replaced the dealer that you got the unit from should replace it with the new blue verison it should be under warranty dei knows there is a problem with the first gen of 2 way remotes

for some strange reason the remote is working fine now, its transmitting and receiving info from the car, but i've heard of alot of people having a problem with the gray style remotes so i'm gonna call the person i got my alarm from to see if i can get the blue version anyway.
the transmitter that comes with the 790xv is very unreliable(478V. the plastic nubs woudl come off the antenna, the case crack easily and the remote itself would stop confirming after a while from normal wear and tear. We swapped so many out at work.the new 791xv has a much nicer transmitter( 479v) and is much better built.
is the viper 791xv remote compatible with the 790xv alarm? I was going to pick up a 790vx tomorrow, but i just want to be sure i can possibly buy a 791xv remote for the alarm. Also, any opinions on the Viper 850xv?

yeah the 791 remote is compatible with the 790xv alarm, thats the alarm i have(790) and i'm gonna get the 791 remote pretty soon, cause like i said the remote sometimes confirms and sometimes it doesn't eventhrough the car has reponded.

how do u tell it is white and gray with sparkles and 4 buttons

yeah the old worthless remotes are the white/gray with sparkles and 4 buttons, the new more improved remotes are the blue ones with 4 buttons(plus the blue ones come with alittle clip).
i'll put it this way,
DEI knows that the white/gray remotes are pieces of **** thats why they came out with the more reliable blue ones, so if they would be a good company they should have a recall for all white/gray remotes, i've heard that some retailers will take back the old remotes and give you the new remotes but i'm now sure, nothings wrong with trying.

yeah well now my car keeps blowing the parking light/tail light fuses all the time so i am going to bring my **** back and see what is going on.
