Default 99 Prelude mechanical advice please

Just purchased a 99 Prelude S, 120k, blk/blk 5 spd.

Left the dealer, and starting hearing a sound when I was braking, the nose dips down a bit and when coming back up it makes a creaking type of sound. Only having basic knowledge of cars etc, i thought maybe shocks or something like that, but when i called the dealer of the used car he said the preludes have bushing problems in the front. He said his wife has one that has the same problem, its a 2001 with only 67km.

Anybody know anything about this? Is this normal? Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Al

I had that problem on my 97, but only after I got it back from the body shop from being hit in the left front with $11k dmg. Some of the body pieces were rubbing against eachother and would make a popping sound when I would go over bumps or dips in the road. Check to see how hard it was hit before or if it was at all.
