what does a resonator do ???

do i need one ???

think about the word...
Resonator

Basically it is just a chamber used to change the sound. Usually it is simply to quiet the system.
So no you do not need it.

Resonator essentially slows down the gases a bit removing the harsher exhaust notes. It will rob a very small amount of scavenged power. Not necessary unless you have noise laws.

really not necessary at all... if you need to resonate then stick a silencer in the muffler... (if you running aftermarket exhaust that is)
