Ok i'm takin my JDM H22A out of my wrecked 92 Prelude S that did NOT have ABS. I am putting the motor into my new 92 Prelude Si that DOES have ABS. Does the JDM motor run ABS? I'm thinkin it prolly does but i'm not sure. I'd like to get RID of the ABS system, but will that be too hard? I don't even know where to start askin bout what parts are interchangeable and what are not. I'm sure other peeps have run into this situation. what u guys do?? thanx

 

Your engine has nothing to do with abs. If you don't want to have abs in an abs-car just pull the fuse.

 

i was told that the axles would have an extra spline somewhere for the ABS speed sensor. the master cylinder may also be different. will the JDM ecu run the ABS?
i kno that i can just pull the fuse but i want to know how everything will interface.

 

extra spline? i would think it would be the 'ribs' on the axles where the wheel sensor reads the 'speed' of your car.

ABS is ran on its on computer.

 

If you dont want it like he said just pull the fuse. I have had my ABS unhooked since I got the car no problems. If you want to hook it up then that may be a different task to tackle.
