umm, stop driving it, have it towed to an alignment shop. They may need to replace the whole steering rack. Or maybe the rack just came loose? All I know for sure is you need to not be driving **** like that on the streets, it sounds like an accident waiting to happen.

Check your tie rod ends....and DO NOT DRIVE that thing...you will crash
Just try drysteering the wheels, turn them all the way to the driver's side, go over to the passenger side and check the tie rod by wiggingling it, pull it up and down, if it has any play its shot and you're one lucky SOB. Same with the driver's side.
I'm pretty sure your rack is fine, if it was ******* up, the steering effort would be all fucked, really easy, then really hard then really easy...etc.

TIE ROD ENDS!!!! dammit
Not saying you dont need any of those...but check the rod ends first.
Also...this could be really..really dumb...but make sure you have equal air pressure in all the tires....I had one down to 10 psi in the rear (so ligtht back there I couldnt tell) and the car drove like absolute ****...I was scared driving it.
