Default an exhaust question

alright, we all know that a 4 cylinder accord has one exhaust pipe coming out of the rear bumper. what difference does it make when a second exhaust is welded on a 4 cylinder to make it look like a 6 cylinder?

You should stay with single outlet because you will not gain anymore with two than you would with one. Just read the section on exhausts in the guide to accords and a lot of your questions will be answered.

you could possibly lose power and add on more weight...so more weight + loss of power = waste of money. if its for a show car...then hey by all means...weld away!

nothing will change, um, except for extra weight

alot of s2k(as well as v6accord) owner getting a single outlet aftermarket exhaust.

think, most of a 900hp+ inline 6 supra only have one outlet

Well his flow would be different and would probably lose velocity unless he gets a good y pipe to split the flow which most people don't use when they make their's dual outlet.

DO NOT get dual dude.......if u think of the physics about it, that y pipe will cause u to lose flow speed no matter what.......at the same time, because its incredibly easy for the air to then travel (2 paths instead of 1), ur gonna loose way more back pressure than u need......

lower velocity = less top end hp
lower backpressure = less low end torque
added weight = requires more torque to accelerate (see "lower backpressure")

Dual muffler just looks goofy.....like some1 took wayyy too much time to make the car more symetrical
