Has anyone heard of R1 Seats?
They are definetly a knock off brand, however at the price ($400 for 2) and my friend telling me his are real comfortable I can say I can get past the knock off part. If the material is garbage I could get both seats reskinned in leather and still be a few hundred under the cost of Cloth SRD's.
well i have searched and searched and cannot find the exact thread but just a few weeks ago some posted a write up in eg/ek about these seats...nothing but trouble. the rear bracket on the seat broke off twice...but luckily it sounded like the guy was a welder so he just tacked it back on...then it broke again
I bought a pair of these seats about a year and a half ago for my old Civic and loved them. They were a Sparco Torino based design, and I made my own brackets following the design from a member on here.
They cost me $360 shipped for the pair in a group buy that I organized through my old shop.
Also, despite not being FIA approved, I can say with a fair amount of confidence that because of those seats, I did not hit the side window when I was run off the road.

i have a set, they look ok i guess... but they are made for fat people.
they will not hold you in like an itr seat. unless maybe you up in the 200lb + range, but my 170 lb *** slides around in them.

I used to sell these seats a lot at the last shop I worked at and they smell like weed really bad after while. I suggest to let them air out.
They are actually good seats for the amount of money you pay for. But you get what you pay for...

Weird. I weigh 185, and my seats held me fairly tight.
