i put my Alt belt on my accord and now after it's been running for a while it starts to squeel like a mouse, i tightend it pretty tight but how tight is tight? i am gonna go out tomorrow morning and tighten it a bit more. But is there a way to measure the tension on the belt?

 

don't kill it or anything...your problem might be that it's too tight...try loosening it a tad...

 

so if it squeaks its on too tight!?

 

not necessarily...but it could i suppose...i guess it would more likely flop around...my bad...yea try tightening it...
