Quick answer needed... 3" to 2.5" DP into 2.5" exhaust....
Is it gunna be a waste of a DP to make a 3" DP go into a 2.5" exhaust? Or better saying, am I better off just doing a 2.5" DP into 2.5" exhaust on a boosted(6-12 lbs) type r motor? Bigger piping will spool my turbo faster, yada, yada... but will the bigger DP be negated once it hits the bottleneck of 2.5"? I want to keep the exhaust 2.5 inch for quietness..UNLESS there is a way to make a 3" sound as quiet... I'm torn here because I want this car to be quiet but can get a great deal on a stainless 3" DP that will rock my world.... and no, i dont wanna run an e-cutout..... post em up, thanks doods
Well, i should be making upwards to 350whp with my setup... so i was thinking the 3" exhaust would do me well... and help the motor breathe, help my spool times and net higher HP levels... cmon, more more more....
i was wondering the same, i have 2 1/4 exhaust pipes
but im gonnna stick with them because i don't have the funds to get anything bigger at this point and time, but i wanted to ask, would a 3' DP running into 2 1/4 pipe be restrictive? or will it be "ok" just wondering thanks
