1st gen D16 transmissions

1st gen D16 transmissions
Would any other D series trans. bolt up to a gen 1 integra D16 block? Like say, would an EX trans. have better gearing than the twin cam D16's original trans. gear ratios?

Any other D series tranny should bolt up to it, but you will have to get a older cable tranny rather than a newer hydro one. I'm not sure if the mounts are the same between the 4th gen Civics and the 1st gen Tegs though, I don't believe they are.
