my labor of just a clutch was $350. i don't think installing an aftermarket clutch is gonna bump it up that much

do it yourself

If thats the honda place...then ok, if not Id find somewhere cheaper. Usually you can find somebody that is willing to do it for $200 or so.

If you've got access to tools and a Helms/Honda service manual then do it yourself. I believe $200-$250 should be the going rate for labor.

do you know anyone with a shop? i work at big o tires and they let me work on my car all the time! i helped my buddie there change his clutch in about 5 hours. 5 hours is the book rate. it was pretty simple with all the right tools and jacks and lifts!

did mine yesterday for $250 labor.
That was a resonable cost for me knowing the job was done right. You can do the job yourself with the right tools if you need to though.

$250 is decent for a clutch job...and it doesn't take anymore effort to do the flywheel at the same time

A local Honda dealer wanted to charge $1100 (labor and parts) for a new clutch. I told them they were crazy and did it myself. Not sure what their labor rate was but it was too much I'm sure.
