Default dyno pic of dc vs jdm headers

here is the results of my wasted money, time and effort. as you can see that last part of the jdm spiked and gave it a 5 whp gain over the dc sport 4-2-1 header. since im not planning to do anything else to my car i should have stuck with my dc sport instead of blowing big bux on the jdm and carsound cat.

Glad somebody took the time to do this test....

I'm sure you would have been much more pleased if you added some camgears in the mix....?

Did you find the car actually felt slower with the JDM 4-1?

Did you a chance to check your A/F readings? Tuning those to each header can make an even bigger difference. I have not seen a header yet that performs best with the previous header's fuel settings...

So I don't get it. The JDM header gave you 5 more WHP and you did not like that? Did you tune fuel or cam timing at all? That would give you a little more. 5 WHP from a header alone is not that bad. I shaved .3 seconds in the 1/4 mile with only 3 whp when I went to mine.

What kind of mods did you have ? Also, why did the run stop 8000 and not 8300 ?

It almost looks like you had a cold air intake when you dyno'd the DC header.
The spike at ~4000 is very common to cold air intakes.

One question.. did you just swap the header and make a few runs? or did you actually TUNE the new header? Big difference.

Also...why didnt you rev to 8300 when you dyno'd the JDM ITR header?
It looks like the JDM ITR header was still making power while the DC started to fall off at around 8000.

Holy resurrection batman!

I'm also puzzled, I would think he would be happy to have gotten the JDM header for the 5 extra whp, clarification would be wonderful.

Guess he wont be clarifying for us..
