Default Pleas Help! Quick Q about resonator removal

I just pulled out my resonator and there is a metal thing screwed to it that looks like a horn. It controls some valve on the resonator. I am guessing I don't need it anymore, but just wanted to make sure it isn't anything important. So, should I just disconnect it? Thanks

yeah just disconnect it
it just controls a valve in the resonator to help lowend torque or something along those lines.

Thanks. I just found the answer on another site, too. It's called the butterfly valve and it does exactly what you said.

You know I don't even think I've done that. Ever since my AEM has been installed I just have the line that connected to the resonator just dangling around. I guess you are just saying to make sure and do that so its outta the way and to keep things more organized?

Well, that and if the line is just hanging there, you have a vaccum leak...
