Default Parts Cross Reference

Can anyone tell me what accords I can pull a Power Steering pump off of to replace the one on my car. I have a 1994 Accord LX 4 cyl. When I start the car cold, the belts squeel a little. On damp cold days it will do it again if I try to take a left or right turn going out of my development. It does not do this again unless the car sits a while and gets cold. I've just had all of the belts replaced so they are genuine Honda, new, and adjusted correctly. I suspect the PS pump had a bearing going as besides the squeel, if your sitting at a light and you move the wheel left or right a little you can feel a vibration in the wheel pretty good. As us Honda fans know, a NOS part from the dealer will take a second mortgage at $497.... NOT! But even aftermarket units from Auto Zone or NAPA ect are up around $150. I'd like to try to yank one off a junker if I knew what models to yank from. Thanks....

I would think any 4 cyl accord 94-97. Is there enough fluid in the system?

Are you sure the noise is not coming from your power steering rack? What kind of power steering fluid do you use? The .99 power steering fluid from AutoZone will usually cause a noise in an older rack. If you deside it is your PS rack, synthetic power steering fluid will eliminate the noise and vibration for (at least) several thousand miles.

I've had good luck with GM 'Cold Weather' power steering fluid. It's a synthetic blend made by another company for GM. I'm sure you could find an equivalent at the local parts store.
