I have the kyb gr2 with tein stech springs on my 5th gen, and the ride is comfy, almost close to stock comfort. Great for daily driving, but not stiff enough for auto-x.

gr2s are not up to the challenge of most lowering springs especially something that is over 1.5 inch drop like the sportlines. gr2s are just tad better than stock and next in line would be tokico hp/blues.i would suggest koni yellows or tokico illuminas. if you want a low drop you have to pay to play.

i have this set-up and it is a great ride, very responsive--not too hard of a ride but not bouncy or soft
