Help I'm getting really poor gas mileage since my swap!
Well since my swap I've had my check engine light on for about 3 months. I've already replaced my idle air control valve, replaced plugs and wires, and done various other mainteance work to no avail. I'm thinking it could be a leak in the intake manifold but would that explain my poor gas mileage? I'm getting less then 20 miles a gallon on the highway coasting at fifth gear. A v6 camry travelling to the same destination was getting double my gas mileage. Please help. Thanks.
Its a 1998 ex swapped a jdm b16 sir2 engine into it. I'm thinking it could be a bad injector, or faulty o2 sensors. Please more input thanks.
Chances are.. it sounds like a Code #7. Bad TPS sensor. Mine was busted during shipping (as are %90 of them) and threw a code 7. It ran rich for a month before I finally bought another one. Well that ruined my O2 sensor..... so I had to replace that as well. I also had vacuum line problems too
But i can't complain, the swap only took me 2 days.

Hey Slain good point. I am running my stock exhaust from the header back.... and my cat is fried on the insides. I hear all kinds of rattling from it and all..
My car kinda "sputters" (feels like fouled plugs, but its not).... you think ti could be too much backpressure? hmm.... time to hollow the cat!
