you hooked something up wrong, First see you got the right things hooked up the right places and you have power where you should. This is going to be a bitch to figure out because it literally can be anything.

are you still running dx? that could be your prob? check main relay? check all grounds? check that you installed injector resistor? good luck

ok what you gotta do is get a tester, like a tester that actually shows voltage and continuity. then get yourself a chiltons manual or something liek that and go to the wiring pages and follow theres specs and make sure every wire is in place, it is gonna be a long and tedious project but its what you need to do. also make sure you grounds are on and clean because alot of the times the ground is what is wrong, also the grounds can get corroded so clean them off to get a good connection

for example, i just put in a motor in my car and i tried to start it and i got spark but no fuel, and i didnt hear my fuel pump priming. so i went in my chiltons manual and found something to test the main relay to see if it was good. everything check out so i knew hte main relay was good. took out my seats and tested the fuel pump connection, i had power going to the fuel pump so now i got it narrowed down to either my fuel pump is bad or my fuel pump ground is bad.

Check all grounds, all wiring, test battery and alternator for juice. Check spark. If you have power and you hear your fuel pump prime when you turn the key on then it's not fuel or main relay.

Tell us more. We need more information. You went from DX to HF harness? Why? Did you swap a motor?

unless someone else has a better idea, this is the only advice i can give. go get a manual of some kinda, haynes, chilton, helms and a volt meter which shows voltage and continuity, then open the book to the wiring pages, they will show every wire on your wiring harness, look at the pages and just start tracing every single wire, making sure theres power when there should be and continuity between 2 points when there should be. and also the manual should tell you where those extra wires you have go.

Im gonna bet this is your problem. The hf harness is wired different on the dizzy. check this out and see if you can figure it out. Might help with something

I recently converted to obd1 and i had problems with my distributor wiring. So after figuring out my color combo it started right up.

Does it act like it wants to like every other turn?

Hope this helps...

You might also want to check the clutch safety switch. on the 88-89 cars they did not come with them. So look around where the clutch is and there should be a plug hanging out. Cut off the plug and conneect the two wires.

THis was the same problem my friend had.

if your running a zc motor then their is your problem because for 1 hf harness is different.

see HF's ARE mpfi but u cant switch distributors from hf to si or visa versa.. in other words u need a ex or si harness, my guess would be si
