i shifted into 3rd going 100mph in my 00si. luckily it grinded out before it went all the way in gear, it did rev to 9000 though. scariest day of my life, that was 3 months ago and everything is fine

i did kinda the same thing as you did too, i think i was going like 90mph or so and shifted to 3rd and rmp jumps up to like 8000k or so and for a second, i looked at it and took it out quick without any damages, still runs now without a problem.

I honestly don't see how people are mis shifting so badly.
Plus, why does everybody see the need to jamb gears as quickly as possible. Watch some profressional drivers....it's about smooth shifting
