Finally at about 6 weeks of my car just sitting in the driveway, I got the mini-me swap up and running. I love the sound of vtec kicking in. It gets so much louder with my intake. I can definitely feel somewhat of a significant power difference in the upper rpms. It feels so good to finally drive my car!

btw, what did you use for vtec activation?????

 

I'm currently using a toggle switch that I had on my dash from previous fog lights. But I am getting a Fields SFC-VTEC controller today or tomorrow.

LOL. Ghetto is right. I did the same thing When i first dropped my B16a, i was running it on an LS ecu. My setup was even worse: i had all kinds of aligator clips and wires running from under the hood into my sunroof. My friend in the passenger seat would just sit there with the two wires, and i was like "hit it!"
now thats ghetto But, i just had to get a little taste of vtec before my ecu came in.

 

i just got a msd rpm activation switch, but now my tach doesnt work b/c i guess the signal is being disturbed..... it sux....

 

one more thing, what did you do with the oil pressure switch?? i didnt convert my harness to the sohc vtec harness...

You won't need to do anything w/ the oil pressure switch if you use the fields cont.

 

Have you timed it yet? What bolt-ons do you have? Where did you get the head?

No...I haven't timed it yet. The other mods that I have are Greddy catback exhaust and DC Sports intake. Right now I'm in the process of installling a Fields SFC-vtec controller and a A/F meter. But I can definitely feel a difference.
