I was wondering if anyone can assist a new member on learning more about upgrading and maintaining the engine in a 1995 Honda Civic DX? I am mainly looking for information on bolt-ons and other engine upgrades that can be done without a lot of major overhauling.

Any help on which books, websites and such to view would be greatly appreciated.

I have done some searches on the forum. What I am in need of is someone who has modded their DX and can list what parts are the best to get. Since my Honda will be a daily driver, I only want to use what will last and is good. I do not know anything about modifications, the correct names for engines, much less how to do this. So if someone experienced can make a list of what to do parts wise, I can mod it to my needs.

Yea a really good maintence check would be to go to your nearest tunning shop and ask for a motor...

 

The only problem with the nearest tunning shop is that they do not know what they are doing. All I hear is that if you buy from them, then you got robbed. So that option is out.
