Ok, the A/C system in my 88 crx has been hooked up and sealed for the past 2 years. It's been like this since the swap and was never re-charged and there is ZERO pressure in the lines.

1) When i turn on the Air and then press the A/C button i dont hear anything, a click from the compressor clutch and the A/C system Fan doesn't turn on as well. How can i tell that the copressor is working before i charge the system. Does the A/C fan run off of a pressure switch? (that would explain why it doesn't turn on becuase it's not charged).

2) Is there any procedure i need to do since my A/C has Zero pressure and has been exposed to open air...(evacuating the system? What is this?).
Or can i just buy a re-charge kit from pep boys and charge it?

Without any pressure the compressor nor fan will kick on.
