Here's a new one..
okay here's the story: i went on a road trip last saturday, just got back today (sunday, 8 days later) in my girlfriend's car, while mine sat in the driveway. I don't know if this would affect it, but one of my headlight bulbs burned out so i removed it and there's nothing in its place, just a dangling wire...anyway, i get in the car today (4th gen btw) and notice that the clock is messed up...it's counting off hours like seconds but keeping track of the minutes... i cant stop it from counting hours that way unless i turn off the car and hold the button down when i turn it back on... and even then if i turn the car off and let it sit for a while the clock will start ticking hours away again. anyhow, as much as i hope it's related to the headlight im guessing the switch is just messed up? how much of a pain in the *** is it to get up in the dashboard to fix the clock? or does anybody have any other ideas? thanks
the 4th gen dash isn't that bad to get apart, if you think it has something to do with the head light (i REALY REALY doubt it) then replace that first.
but just get in the car with some good light, and you can see the screws that hold the top part of the gauge cluster cover on, i think there are like 8 of them, then you have to pull off the plastic cover thats over the clock, be careful though, its large and can scratch easy/

there is a exploded view, number 21 is what you take off first,
