Do you feel any difference in handling and accelerating between the 15 and 16's with low profile tires? I plan to get a set but don't know which size. I know the 15 will be lighter but it might look too small. This is mostly for daily driving and some occasionally racing.

I've always been a fan of 15's. For one, it's possible to obtain a better drive ratio due to the shorter available tires. Weight has always been my biggest issue though. As far as looks, don't let other people try and tell you what looks good, think for yourself.

why would you go low profile tires with a 15? but, overall, 15 is better for performance because of the reasons stated above
