ATTN: stolen car owners!!!!
My '90 Integra ls was stolen in 2001. Recovered about 3 weeks later. Complete motor, wiring, head/taillights, cluster, wheels, front/rear seats, rear brakes, steering wheel and ecu...gone.
stolen at night...recovered next morning stripped!! the guys who stole my car must of knew what they were doing cause nothing was busted. blurred finger prints showed that they flexed my window outward and reached in to open the door. it then showed that they had a master key of some sort cause they started the car with it and accidentally broke it in the ignition key slot.
this is from 98-now
92 prelude-wheels and tail lights-took it from car shop
92 civic-the whole car gone- they took it from the front of my house
94 integra, they took the interior- from the front of my house
97 civic coupe- system, wheels.-left the car, took stuff (same time as the teg)
92 DX hatch-the wheels, system-took the car while we were in canada at a car show.
gotta love theives

one of my freinds had his turboed 98 Integra LS stolen right in front of his house, and he lives in a very nice area. This was 4 months ago, and they still have yet to find the shell or any other trace of it.
As for stripping it, these guys do this stuff for a living. They can strip an entire car in just a few hours. Basicly they have a huge team do it. Honda's are easy to work on, thus easy to take stuff off real quick, and on top of that, the parts bring alot of money.
Theives suck

In may of 2002, my integra was stolen. I got it back like 5 days later. Missing intake, shift ****, all my personal belongings, and body damage.
In December of 02, my hatch was stolen. Me and my friends found it on the side of a road 2 weeks later, here it is:
not only did they take EVERYTHING, except the rear shocks and bumper, but they filled the car with garbage, cut the fuel lines, took every hard brake line, and broke every window.

yea, I wasnt expecting it to be that bad, since my integra was found with just body damage and small things stolen. I figured I would find my civic in an alley without the intake sitting on the rotors, since I know the si wheels would be stolen. I had like 3 bumper stickers on the back bumper, and when I found the shell, they were all scraped off. Kinda weird. I wish they wouldnt have cut all the hard lines and broken the windows. That was the deciding factor that I wasnt going to buy it back.

I just got my intake and radar detector stolen thankfully. Im surprised they didnt take my hood or anything else.

2 years ago..my 94 civic ex was stolen. 4 days later..recovered completly intact...with few more goodies in the trunk that wasnt there before. (baseball cards--rare ones--, tools, roller blades etc etc....so it doesnt happen often..but there are instances when a car can be recovered intact. .....oh ya..I had to have my trans fixed because they took it on a joy ride..but thats it. insurance paid for it.
here's my story:
my Si was stolen on sept. 10th of 03. found the next morning completely stripped. they took the front lip spoiler, rear spoiler, mirrors, side skirts, tail lights, front strut bar, front and rear seats, gauge cluster, shift ****, all 6 speakers, screwed up the dash when they were trying to take out the stereo and climate controlls, broke the steering column to start the car, tried to take off the VTEC solenoid, but couldn't get it off and for some reason replaced one of the bolts with a self tapping screw, and they over-revved the engine because when the dealership got it started there was a loud clicking sound above 5,000rpm. they also tried to get the wheels but were unsuccessful because of my OEM wheel locks(probably the only good OEM anti theft device). my insurrance company told me that i could buy the car back for 3,000, so i bought an EK hatch planning to swap the motor, brakes, and suspention from the Si into the EK, but when i offered 3,000 cash for the Si they raised the price to 4,500 because somebody offered them that to buy it. after a little negotiation they told me the only thing they could do would be to either sell it back for 4,500, total it and pay me off, or offer 9,000 to restore it, i just decided to total it since i now owned a new car and couldn't afford the loan payments on the Si. so i took the money to pay off the loan and tracked down the Si to the junkyard they sold it to, offered them 3,000 but they said they were going to auction it off and they wouldnt sell me any parts off of it, so i got fuxored through that whole ordeal.
EDIT: oh, and the junkyard told me they were the ones who offered the 4,500 to the insurrance company to buy the car, and they wouldn't let it go for any less than 5,500. i would have bought it from the insurrance company for 4,500, but i only had 3,000 after buying the hatch, and the money they gave me for totalling the car wasn't even enough to pay off the loan.
