So I installed kyb agx's and eibach springs today
And for some reason the front end of the car sits higher than the back. What the hell is up with that?
They ride very nice but it sits realy ugly. I am didspointed.
But I was a little confused while doing the install. The damper fork has no place to sit on the shock like the stock ones. So I had no clue where to tightn it down at. Should I have let it sit against the brackets for the brake lines? Because I didnt do that. I just had a little bit of the shock showing out of the bottom of the damper fork. I am thinking that could be the problem.
Any input of this would be great!
Also what would be good to use to get my ignalls camper kit to stop squeeking?
THANKS GUYS AND GALS

the kyb agx's do have a notch where the fork is suppost to be be tightned around like the stock shocks, i would go back and check the front shocks to make sure they were installed correctly
and as for the car stance, i would double check the shock install, did you cut the bump stops around the car? , and u sure u got the springs in the right place?

pictures? is it THAT bad? if you go through and check it out and everything is fine... you might want to let it settle for a while.
Its pretty bad. I also noticed my drivers side rear is ALOT lower than the other side. I dont get it I havre done suspension like 5 other times and never had a problem, now I do it on my car and it lookd like ****.
The only thing the shocks had was an indentation on the shock but it didnt line up to where it would mount with the brake lines. I mean I double checked everything and its right. I have the rears set at 4 and the fronts set a 3 and they ride nice its just it doesnt settle right.
Its dark otherwise I would take some pics

I done knowwhat you mean cut the bump stops? I used the energy suspension peices for the top of the spring. I mean you really cant mess up suspension.

This is really bugging the hell out of me I need to figure out why the hell it looks so bad. I have never seem a car look wors after some new shocks(I already had the springs).

you're talking about the fronts right? you put the shock on the wrong side, i did the same thing at first, but realized it was wrong when the brake lines didn't bolt up. there is a marking on the brake line bracket that says R or L. double check that.

i notice that too, when i install a tein suspenion on my 5 gen lude. everything is set up right and the driver side sit lower then the passenger, i guess most of the weights lean to the driver side

I will double check that but I am pretty sure I put them in right. I crossreferanced the part #'s before I did them and then the shocks do say right and left on them. The brake lines lined up perfectly.
The springs are eibach pro. I had them on the car for about 40,000 miles with the oem shocks and decided to swap the with the agx's and now I am pissed because the car lookas horrible. I mean every wheel well is at a different height.
The back ones are totally unable to mess up I mean its easy as hell and the left side sits lower than the right and the fronts are higher than each of the rears.
Now I did the fronts before even pulling out the rears so I know I didnt put the rears in th efront on accident. Like I said I made sure I had the right ones on each spring.
Thanks again for the help so far!

all I can think of is that maybe you put the shocks in the wrong places, but it sound slike youre pretty sure there all inthe right places, I dunno call up KYB and see what they say
i dunno, my old set up used be eiback prokit with AGX, and my car was even all the way around... shrugs
i would double check the fronts tho.. b/c the agx do have a notch where its suppost to be lined with the fork

ok I didn't read the whole post, so if somebody said this already don't flame me!
Maybe you put the springs on backwards. The front springs rates are higher than the rear due to the extra weight.(motor) Friend of mine did this also and his car rode higher in the front than the rear because he put the 350lb springs in the front and the 250 lb springs in the rear.

thanks for the sugestions but I could not have put the rears in the front because the rears are atached diredtly to the rear knuckle assembly, and the fronts have to be attached to the damper fork to be put in.
So I know I did that right.
I dont know what the hell is wrong

well if you are certain everything is installed correctly, then i would say you have a set of faulty shocks. call kyb or the distributor you got them from and explain your situation. good luck
just a REAL quick note,
the further you shove that shock into the fork, the lower that corner of your car will be
so if you only put it in alittle in the front, thats why its higher.
just shove it down further and you'll be set.
you want to make sure it cant slip tho, cuz if it shoves down all the way or something while driving that'd be bad
a note.. this method of lowering is nice cuz it doesnt hurt suspension travel at all.

Yeah I need to double check that. Thats the only thing I didnt check.
On a good note my rear shock finally settled all the way and the back is now even. So I just need to figure out why the front is so high, but I am willing to bet its the bolt not in the notch
I am a retard!

just so u know i have kyb agx adjustable shocks all around and eibach pro-kit springs in my 5gen and there are no problems, the car looks very even- however i did cut the stock bumpstops the way eibach reccomended.

That sucks
How are the bump stops suposed to be cut? Never heard of that

Search for "bumpstop".... some springs tell you now to cut them, some tell you you should. I didnt have to cut mine with H&R.... im pretty sure you do with eibachs.
Um I didnt really get much. I used the energy suspension ones and really dont want to cut the bumpstops. I honestly dont see any purpose
