Default VX block Z6 head setup. Z6 timing belt was to loose... someone help?

I'm using the VX block because I'm going to boost it (low compression pistons) and I'm using my Z6 head. My Z6 timing belt is only like 2 days old and was on my A6/Z6 setup. I'm trying to use it with the VX/Z6 setup and the ****** is way to loose even with the tensioner fully tight. Is this the right timing belt I'm using?

Well I found out whats wrong. The belt tensioner on the A6 block is bigger than the one on the Z1 block. So I'm guessing I would use the 1.5 timing belt? Can someone clarify this **** for me.

You are the pioneer. Do it, and you'll be the Z1 Timing Belt Guru.

it should be the right one when you do a head swap your supposed to use the timing belt that matchs the head which is z6 and thats what you got i dunno what the problem is try a vx timing belt though.

I would not use that belt. Get one meant for a VX.

The Z6 belt is loose as ****. I'm gonna just use the VX one.

The VX belt tensioner is mad small compared to the A6 one. I tried putting the A6 tensioner on the VX block, but didnt work. The mounting bracket is different. So to sum it all up, whats everyone think? VX or Z6 timing belt?

My setup:

D16Z6 Head
D15Z1 Block

Use the VX timing belt. I have a JDM D15B Vtec which is essentially a VX Block mated to a Z6 head.

Ok well WHAT THE ****. I finally get the car street legal today and when I start the car I hear a slapping noise. My BRAND NEW timing belt is ultra loose. What the ****! It was nice abd snug when I put it on. The tensioner is all the way tightened. I dont know what to do.

Can someone help me out with what might be wrong!!?

When you first put the timing belt on, it's tight, but after it rotates a few times the slack in hidden areas 'shows' up. You're supposed to rotate the pulleys a number of times to take this slack out then re-adjust. Says it in the Helms manual

I don't know what to do if you put the tensioner all the way tight... something isn't right about that. Are you sure the belt you have is the VX belt? How many teeth are on it?

I fixed it dude. Thanks for the help. I had to rotate the crank to get the slack out then tighten the tensioner.
