does having clutch in and revving burn clutch?
Hi,
I am not entirely positive how the clutch works...
but from my understanding it separates the crankshaft plate from the tranny plate whenever u press it in all the way... so the 2 plates arent touching... from what i understand based on this is that whenever u have the clutch not all the way out or all the way in then it is burning clutch...
so my questions are:
how does the clutch really work?
if i am holding the clutch in all the way and i am revving the engine... am i burning clutch or doing anythin detrimental to the car's health?

I have noticed that my car will learch alittle forward when I rev up with the clutch in.I stopped doing that.I just drop it in N and rev up ,no learching.I'd assume it would be bad because of the possible clutch chatter when reving up.

most likely, that's because your clutch cable isn't adjusted properly (if you have a cable clutch..), or you aren't pushing the pedal in all the way.

yea ive been revving it in N with the clutch out then poppin it into gear b4 it revs down... it is just so much easier to do it in gear with the clutch in i want to find out if its ok or not...
from the thing on HSW... it seems like ti detaches completely and wouldnt matter if u rev it as long as your clutch is properly adjusted
