Default 5 Lug on an EF

I looked around and didn't find too much of anything. I just bought a 89 DX Civic. I was looking at putting a 5 lug setup on the car. What would be required to complete this setup?

For the front i don't think too much is needed

But the rear is what i am worried about. Has anyone done this setup before? And if so what all do i need to complete this.

Get your hands on a integ TYPE R. Take everything off of it and put it on yours. Thats what i did i drive a 89 hatch and i got everything from a 96 gsr. But since TYPE R's are 5 lugs it a be an easy converstion cause everything bolts rite up like it did for me when i did it with the GSR. good luck

is it worth installing it or is it too much of a hassle and really didn't help out too much?

I don't understand why some company just doesn't make hubs with 5 lugs that bolt up like stock. It would be so easy. Or why can't you just get stock hubs like redrilled for 5 lugs.

A ITR suspension swap is done for way more then just 5 lugs.

but would it really be that beneficial for the 1200-1500 dollars it would cost to do the whole swap, not to mention you then get into the issue of rims to choose from, most companies don't make a 5x114.3.

The more i am thinking about this the less i am getting motivated to do it

I disagree. I believe that is the same bolt pattern mostly all new Hondas and Acuras use, I think the RSX does use that and I doubt anyone out there is having trouble finding rims for their RSX.

Is that what the new RSX is running? I wasn't aware of that.

All honda 5 lug and most all other 5 lug cars are 114.3

I just didn't know that Honda switched over to the 5 lug on most of their new cars.

I was going to do this on my ef a while back... I have forgotten the parts that I need.

the rear bolts on no problems, just make sure you get DA brake cables if you have a EF hb. Also make sure your able to connect the brakes lines properly.

the FRONT... I belive you need 94+ outer tie rods arms and a good camber kit cause it will have positive camber.

just finding the stuff, then shelling out the money.

brakes help, if you race it. otherwise, on the street, my 9.5" brakes and 4 lugs work just as good as someone's 11" brakes with 5 lugs.
