My last lapping at session at Cayuga’s new road course was incredible. First let me start off by saying that the hype about zeal is completely warranted! I am running B2s and THEY ARE INCREADABLE. This was the first time at the track with them and they turned my car into something to behold. To those that think the suspension on the R is perfect, THINK AGAIN! The stock set up does not even come close to what I experienced. Yes I’m pleased.
So what’s this about the 911 comparisons?
Well.. Earlier this week a good friend of mine, and ex-pro race driver, was holding a private lapping session at the same track. The attendees all were driving Porsche 911s and Boxters. Luckily for me they did take the opportunity to time some of the laps. In the beginning the students were hitting mid 140s/lap and finally one guy pulled off a 138. Now my friend gives it a try and drops this time to 134.5. He admits that he might have been able to shave .5 seconds off this time but that it would require the “perfect” lap. Keep in mind that this guy could likely drive the doors off anyone on this forum. Let me just say that he has swapped paint with some of the most respected drivers in Cart driving today; he has also driven at LeMan!
So this Saturday during one of my lapping sessions a friend of mine who happened to be carrying a passenger with a stopwatch was following me. He managed to pull off 2 135s/lap during a ~10 lap session. During this same session I was pulling away from him at about 60-80ft per lap half way down the main straight. From this I surmise that my lap times were deep into the 134s and perhaps into the 133s but I don’t really know. I do know that my driving still needs a lot of work if I’m going to get close to that “perfect” lap but in the mean time I will still be able to shake off those pesky 911s regardless of who is behind the wheel! Of course I’m only talking about bone stock 911s here
My point! THE TYPER ROCKS and that fact cannot be denied! Damn I love my car!
Regards,

I think you mean the Zeal B2s right? Unless they have 2Bs now which are aluminum bodied?
Good run though!

damn, you may just have convinced me to get some zeal's. what other mod's do you have, and where did you get the zeals from?
Keep in mind that the 911s and the R were both on street tires.
And I bought the Zeals from a good freind of mine who is now kicking himself silly!

If the B2's impressed you then you would probably have a heart attack after experiencing B6's or S6's! My S6's are 10 times better than my old Tein N1's!
http://www.aj-racing.com carries them...they just sold the last set of S6 btw.
Anybody have any pricing on the B2's and B6's ? Also how do they compair to the Mugen Lowdowns? I know the lowdowns aren't height adjustable, but I don't track that much so I don't know if adjustable height is worth it. Thanks.
