Venting my frustration

Is there a "know how to drive" switch inside our heads that flips off once we get to age 65? I'm on the way home from sears today driving through the shopping complex. There's kind of a main road that turns into the place that the parking rows hang off of. Well I'm on my way out and out of no where this old couple in a small white car pull out in front of me. Thanks to the rain, brakes are useless. I lock up the front brakes and end up coming to a stop at an angle on the other side of the road. But here's what got me so mad. HE DIDN"T EVEN KNOW WHAT HAD HAPPENED. He just drove off like there was nothing wrong. I pulled up beside him at the light (which was only 50 yards away) and tried to talk to his wife in the passenger seat. She ignored me and would not roll down the window or even look at me. I was so close to getting out of the car right there at the intersection. Knowing my luck they would have a heart attack if I did that and I'd be charged with something relating to their death. Thank god there was no oncoming traffic or I'd have hit them head on!

I Feel you dood!! the first week I got my R on the road here.. I almost got into 2 accedents....almost identicle to what happend to you... both involving senior citizens, pulling out infront of me to make a left turn... and the first incidence was just how you described it.. the driver didnt even know what was going on.. after i had to brake hard to avoid hitting them... I wasnt speeding... infact, i was approaching a school zone... needless to say I am now SUPER CAUTIOUS of people pulling out of a street or driveway... especially when driving around known senior citizen "Hang outs" lol

i was just driving yesterday and some lady was driving on my side of the road(all the way over) i pulled out adn she wipped her car over on the the right side of the road. then she was beside me at a gas station and was bitchign me out cause she almost lost control of her car cause i pulled out in front of her. i was like what the hell is your problem you drive on the right side around here. she then just kept bickering to me. i ignored her and left. damn stupid drivers.

they really need to retest the old folk...there are "few" older drivers that know what the hell is going on....
When I lived in NJ (second highest concentration of old people, right in my town of course) I couldn't wait to get out....only problem is I decided to move to FL (highest concentration of old people) and it just gets worse...
Hell at least in NJ, the old people stay in the right lane b/c of the jughandles (all you jersey people know), here they drive 20MPH under the speed limit in the fast lane...
